Anna Cotter

Anna is a committed immigration attorney who believes everyone deserves to live in a place where they feel a sense of safety and belonging. As a teenager, Anna spent four years living in Berne, Switzerland where she experienced firsthand some of the struggles that can accompany immigrating to an unfamiliar country.

Prior to her legal career, Anna earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality studies from Ohio State University. There she developed a passion for working with families and became an advocate for women’s and family issues in the Columbus community.

After graduating from Capital University Law School in 2023, Anna spent two years as a municipal prosecutor here in Columbus, where she continued to develop her advocacy skills, particularly regarding individuals who had been victims of violence. Today, Anna focuses her practice on asylum law. She is driven by a desire to advocate for those who have experienced violence or oppression and to provide compassionate representation for all of her clients
